SEO for charities and nonprofits

I have started offering a special rate for charities and other nonprofit organisations for my SEO and content services, and dedicate 0.5 days a week to local volunteer work.

There are a number of reasons behind this. One is that I was recently approached by an agency offering work I would describe as disreputable and unethical. Another is that I want my children to look up to me for the right reasons. I want to use my skills for good, and I want to support organisations that make a real difference in the world.

And then there is my wife, Rebecca.

She is the mother of our two amazing boys, aged 4 and 10, guiding them with love, patience, and strength. She is an incredible teacher, shaping young minds every day. And she does all of this while living with relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis – a condition that causes constant pain and increasingly limits her mobility to the point where she needs crutches, walker, or rented mobility scooter whenever she leaves our home.

Despite everything MS throws at Rebecca, she continues to show resilience, kindness, and an unwavering dedication to her family, her students, and the people around her.

She is also my greatest supporter. When I made the leap into self-employment, starting my own SEO and content consultancy, she believed in me completely. Her trust and encouragement gave me the confidence to take that step, knowing she had my back 100%.

Every day, she shows me what real strength looks like – not just in pushing through the challenges of her condition but in the way she gives so much of herself to others. She inspires me to be better, to work harder, and to never take anything for granted.

All these things have combined to give me the final push to make some decisions I’d been mulling over for a while.

So if you’re working in a charity, community group, or social enterprise and need help getting your message out there, I’d love to connect.

Here’s to using our skills for good, and being proud of what we’re doing.
